How to celebrate your Birthday or Anniversary in Lockdown and still have good fun!

Ways to party in Quarantine

Why not have a memorable birthday or anniversary party celebration while you are at home.We all are facing a turnaround situation in our lives right now due to the outbreak of Covid-19. It has been a complete new edition of life for a while now. Obviously, this year has been different for each one of us. Amid recent calls for social distancing, get-togethers both small and large one’s have been called off, leaving several spring babies — plus their parents, partners, and friends — to celebrate at their home. One thing that hasn’t changed is that individuals are still want to celebrate their birthdays and anniversaries!A birthday or an anniversary is a milestones. It is also one such time where we gather our friends and family for all the scrumptious desserts, refreshing cocktails, and whimsical décor the way our heart desires. We right now we cannot meet up together, but we can host parties at home and throw a virtual birthday party or just have an intimate party with your family! So come on, don’t let this lockdown dampen your party spirit.

If you or someone you love has a birthday or an anniversary coming up, you can surely think of using one of these quarantine party ideas. There are plenty of ways to make the birthday girl or boy or a couple feel loved on their special day while social distancing.

So, the question remains, can you really have a celebration while on quarantine? The answer is – Of course yes! It’s a lot relaxed and more fun than you might even think of, only if you follow a few simple guidelines. And yeah there’s no cleaning up afterward.

Here are some inspirations on how to get your party started.
1.Decide on a theme

Decide on a theme with whatever stuff you have at your home. Maybe you can go for a quarantine theme for your kid or simply go with the color theme. Just decorate half the cozy corner of your living room with newspaper danglers, card paper cutouts, fiery lights, candles, flowers from garden to create a background and get some pictures clicked.

2. Bake yourself a cake!

Would it be a celebration without a cake? No, right? During these times, it’s difficult that you’ll be able to get a cake. Baking your own, either alone or with someone else is a lot of fun, and it’s really worthwhile yet delicious! For a couple, it’s your anniversary, so have some fun baking a cake together. So just go for it!

3. Order a birthday or an anniversary meal from your favorite restaurant

Stepping out for dinner isn’t really possible during lockdown, but you can obviously have good food delivered at your place from your favorite restaurant. You could try your luck ordering from the restaurant you were planning to go for your birthday or anniversary party, just to bring back a bit of normality into your life.

4. Cook your favorite meal for dinner.

Cooking yourself a meal is such a fun way to spend your birthday, the one’s celebrating their anniversary can reverse the roles of your spouse and cook a scrumptious meal for your better half. We all love treating ourselves or our loved one’s with some amazing food and preparing our meals as if they’re for a Queen or may be a King himself or may be this is the time you start learning healthier recipes like you said you would someday.

5. Create a birthday or an anniversary bucket list

Just grab your material to write it down, make a list of things you wish to accomplish before your next birthday and make sure you accomplish them and keep the excitement on. For the anniversary, sit together with your partner and make a list of wishes that you would love to do with your better half till you achieve a milestone of years of togetherness. Have fun by counting the number of months or years you have and coming up with that number of things to do in the next year. Keep your bucket list close to your sight throughout the year so that you actually remember to do the items and cross them off.

6. Make a gratitude list.

A great way to spend your birthday or anniversary, especially one in quarantine, is by making a gratitude list. We all are blessed with a family,  supportive friends and an opportunity to even celebrate another birthday. Those things matter way more during such crazy time. Isn’t it? So pull out your list and convey your gratitude to the loved ones. Be connected this quarantine over a call.

7. Have a virtual party.

Send virtual invites to your friends and family and ask them to join in any of  the video calling platform viz. hangout, google duo, skype, zoom, etc. Send them some animated virtual invites and ask them to join your video party or you may even surprise your loved one’s by gathering people they love and have a blast. The only drawback in this virtual party is that you cannot enjoy your cake with everyone, but they can obviously watch you blow your candles and they can sing for you! If you wish to send a party favor, you could send them a gift card of some store or any brand; this could be your way of thanking them for taking their time out to join you for your virtual party.

8.Put on the music and dance your heart out.

Why not put on some of your favorite music and groove on to it. Be yourself and enjoy every bit of your moment with your loved one’s.
